and...I didn't have any dogs breaking down my front door
Just be careful when you take her out or leave her in the yard...always supervise her
We have had her inside for the past few days because it's raining bad in Brisbane. I don't know if I want to take her outside I'm too scared.
Lock her in the house when you are out, make sure she has fresh water and a fan/aircon on if it's a hot day. Do not leave her outdoors or with free access to outside. Only ever take her outside EVEN IN YOUR YARD on a leash and make sure you don't take her for walks at the moment. You will lead the other dogs to your house if you do. Never leave her unsupervised EVEN FOR ONE MINUTE!
Please be aware of all of this. None of us hate you nor will we flame you, accidents happen, now that you are aware that she is in heat you need to be aware.
Hopefully there is someone here who can tell you how long she will be on heat for.
Scared of what?
Well look, if your vet has mentioned to you previously during discussion (and I'm sure I remember you mentioning this elsewhere in another thread recently) that he may be able to do it anyway - just get it done okay.
It's not a question of may with the vet anyway, it's a question of will he agree to.
I dont want to derail this thread, but when does a dog first go into season? When she's a year old? Or 6 months?
I'm scared dogs will get in when I'm there and we will attract them even more so if she is outside.
Well you've got a six foot fence. Just don't go walking her around the neighbourhood. To many randy un-desexed males out there you know.
