On my way back to work at lunch time today I passed a car with two dogs in it. One looked like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel sitting/standing on the drivers lap with its head out the fully opened window and on the passenger side was a scruffy looking terrier of some type with it's head out the window.
The dogs looked like they were enjoying their ride, but isn't this a little irresponsible? If the driver had to brake suddenly the dogs would be thrown around the car, could be injured or end up going through the windscreen!
I have always used a harness on my dogs and they have always been restrained to the rear seat in case of sudden braking or an accident.
I also thought there was a law especially in NSW that dogs had to be restrained in the rear of the car/ute/4WD?
What is your thoughts?
