So nice to read Xavier is safe.
I spoke to the vet today and told him you thought he had been desexed recently. In any case, Jet Pets will still deliver him to Dr Scot and he will be vaccinated and have his eyes/ears checked and if he is desexed we will get a call tomorrow to pick him up. If not, he will stay over until Friday for surgery.
Poor Miss Bigglesworth is currently in hospital. She looked so sick to me last night that I took her to the vet this morning when I took Oopa in for her monthly bloodwork. Dr Amanda (lol, no not me) couldn't find anything wrong with her, but we both agreed she should stay the night and have a full blood work done and a fluids top up. Poor baby. She always looks SOOOOOO cranky when she is unwell.
I left both girls there while I went to have lunch with my son Glenn (our resident shar pei boot camp sargeant) who turned 23 today. We had a great lunch but when I returned to the vet Oopa looked at me like I had 6 heads......"Mother, how DARE you leave me here for hours on end! They stuck needles in me and then plonked me in a cage of all things, just so you could go and do lunch without me".
I have said it before.....that cat is a cow!!!
What were you thinking going to lunch without Oopa!
How did Xavier go at the vets, Amanda?
He is already desexed Florence (actually put this in another thread, don't ask me which one though lol) so you were spot on.
He is staying over though as he needs a little nip and tuck on one lower lid and will also be vaccinated.
Those at the surgery think he is lovely! I am very much looking forward to meeting him tomorrow.
Arrived at Green Acres last Saturday. Must bite nice ladies OH (LMAO). They left me in peace in my pen but for meals and walks (must roll on my back and protest this lead and collar thing - that will trick them). VERY, VERY sus of those funny looking humans! Note to self (from Xavier)....must scoff food, there may be no more! 2 days ago, put in a yard for 1/2 an hour. Yesterday, put in yard for 1 hour......hey, this could work.....maybe I will give her pei kisses and a pat, awwww she is OK, in fact she is laying on the ground, I think she wants to play with me!! Some one get my kennel, I may camp out tonight. And here she comes again, with a great big bone.....this is going to be OK
From Amanda.....Xavier is LOVELY!!!!! I WANT TO KEEP (Stamps feet)

Awww Xavier, you just rolled over to get a tummy rub, but don't worry, your secret is safe with me...
In My Home Dog Minding
You have another beauty arriving today. This fellow is not lead shy, but sure is shy of going into kennel, car and crate. I was worried we'd pull his head off. He is a real smoocher though and likes a chat.
Hayden was terrific once he was in the car, but I had to actually lift all 28kgs of him into it. .
I was a bit early so stopped off at a shopping centre to get a much needed coffee and decided to get a couple hundred grams of diced beef, to be used as a bribe if necessary. Helped a bit, but I still had to shove-lift him into the crate.
I have attached the paperwork to the crate in a satchell so don't forget to get that. Contains tablets for this evening as well.
Coat is dry and he is a bit lean around the hips, but really lovely dog. Good for someone who is interested in the Shar Pei but hasn't adopted one yet.
