Woah. My heart is still thumping!
Me, my brother and his friend were going for a walk (Not with any dogs!) down the street and across the road. When we passed by one of the houses down the road, their dog (Looked like a BIG cattledog/x) came barrelling to us from the one side of the road to our side NARROWLY missing a car that was SPEEDING down the road! Well. There were also about 7 cars I could see in the distance about to come down the road!
I was thinking, “****, ****, what do I do!” and decided to yell out to the house for the owners of the dog. WELL. Noone was home! They had left their gate open, but noone was home.
I was FROZEN with fear for the dog to be honest, especially when it ran back over to its house, again JUST missing another car. I didn’t know what to do! I told the boys to stay still until all the cars had gone and then continue walking (I didn’t want the dog to get excited) But AGAIN it came over! I yelled at it “to go HOME!” and it started walking back over the road, but then SAT down right in the middle of the frikken road!
A car had to screech to a stop and wait for the dog to go back into its gate and to the back of the house.
We ended up taking off home, as soon as the dog was at the back of the house and no longer that aware of us.
My heart is thumping so MADLEY! I seriously thought that dog was going to get hit!
What should I have done in this situation??? Should I have done something differently?? ???
<takes deep breath> I know that it didn’t get killed, but it quite easily could of!
