I'm with you on this DA. When I read about NEVER leaving your children and dog unsupervised I have often thought mmmmmm. Never?
So, for instance if Jenna is happily sleeping and Ethan is watching TV and I need a pee? No, I am not going to put Jenna in a crate or move DS to another room. I come back and neither of them has moved.
Now I would not leave Jenna unsupervised with a child I didn't know. That's a different matter but I know my son and I know Jenna so I don't worry about short periods, like going from room to room as DA said. I think it's common sense really and alot of people who say they NEVER leave their dogs and kids unsupervised do not have kids so it's a lot easier for them to practice that.
Also worth a mention. I will not be leaving Mya and my son alone at all. They do not know each other and I have had many talks with my kids (younger and older, as sometimes it's the teenage ones who ignore what I say more than the little one) about realising we need to treat Mya differently to Jenna until we have all got to know one another.
