Just wondering if there are any Mums ( or Dadas) here that have to medicate thier children for learning problems? I'm not referring to just ADHD in a nut shell but across the whole spectrum.
It seems we are about to embark on this road as much as I detest the thought.I have fought this for 3 years now and at one stage ourson was going ahead in leaps and bounds and we thought we'd been vindicated in our stubborn refusal to go the 'drug' route.
But we moved and the patterns emerged all over again. This time round he appeared to be doing extremely well, appeared settled, seemed to really enjoy going to school and had brought home 2 merit awards in the first week, seemed to be getting along with his class mates,no fighting or angry behaviour etc. Apparently things slid pretty fast from then on....he was suspended on Thursday........again.........
There isn't a great deal out there on the net , or should I say there isn't a great deal out there that I can get my head around without obtaining a couple of PhDs or from a parents view point.
His father was placed on Ritlen( sp? and I know that things have progressed since then ) during school and he became quite an angry individual on it.He did more fighting than school work. I guess this might be one of the reasons I am quite apprehensive of medicating. My other main concern that my 'BJ' will no longer be my 'BJ',that he will somehow be too modified if you get what I'm trying to say.I want him to still be BJ.
So any info appreciated
