Some of you may recall my thread about european wasps that were making their way onto our back deck and going for Inca's food.
Some of you offered advice, so thanks to all, particularly Hy.
Husband located the nest in an extremely nasty way - by accident - and it was a huge underground nest! They attacked him ferociously, and of course unlike other bees and wasps, the european can sting repeatedly, so he was running around the yard in a bit of a mess. Blow torch helped to get them off him! Lol.
The nest has been totally destroyed, and a massive amount of them killed. Haven't seen one for 24 hours now, so hopefully we got them all. I will be ringing the local council today though, as I have heard that councils like to be informed of the whereabouts of european wasp colonies.
