I think it is awfully sad that people come to this forum for advice. Because they want to do the best for their pet! And this is type of response they get from members on high horses who look down on those who are not dog experts!
I have to say I do agree with Hyacinth.
Most on here know my opinion on crossbreeding BUT I would never buy a puppy under the circumstances you did, knowing what I know now. Surely in the time you have been a member here you've heard Puppy Farming mentioned. It is very suss to buy a puppy off the internet without seeing the place it has grown up in and view at least one of the parents.
I think people are understandably frustrated with you after asking advice and, basically, choosing to ignore it. Sorry.
Edited as I have just read your last post and I'm confused. So you saw where she was brought up but her mother wasn't there? So was she raised without her mother? Am I getting confused with another post
The best things in life, aren't things
Anyway IMO you came on here for advice from others and were given it!
You expect people to put there passion and devotion regarding puppy mills/BYB's into words and give it as advice when in the next breath you turn around and do EXACTLY what they advised you NOT TO DO!!!!
And then to top it off you expect them to be jumping for joy when you have 101 questions about a puppy you brought from an unethical breeder!
Why should people give you advice when you blatantly ignore it!???
Puppy millers do this on purpose to sell puppies. You didn't met the puppy's parents. BIG CLUE. You said the puppy was dragging its bum excessively - sick puppy. My puppy is NOT sick! Its skin is NOT in poor condition! She was bought up at home with a family, kids, other dogs, puppies!!! I saw her living environment when I picked her up!
You've been HAD and lied to. Don't get mad at us. You ignored what we said.
Cross breed accidents do happen, we've got at least two members here to vouch for that. And then they have to find homes for the puppies.
But breeding "designer" puppies like cav x cav x poodle - is the work of a puppy mill.
Fair enough accidents happen, there isn't much that can be done about that. Still if people are RESPONSIBLE owners and take the proper precautions it shouldn't happen.
ETA: There are those on here who have been responsible and things have gotten out of their control. I can understand that completely and I have no problem with it whatsoever.
The other member whom Beau refers to.....the situation was completely out of her control and she actual got the dog after she was pregnant.
The difference is we ask LOTS of questions to potential buyers etc etc and those potential buyers KNOW the FULL story about what has gone on/reason for litter etc etc.
AND WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES, AREN'T IN IT FOR THE MONEY (never make any anyway), GET OUR DOGS DESEXED IMMEDIATELY AFTER, IF GET ANOTHER DOG MAKE SURE WE GET THEM DESEXED.......and the list goes on!
I would steer clear of buying a designer dog pup- and supporting the BYB industry. If you want one, go to the pound as there are thousands that get put down all the time!!
