This thread is geared at all of those dog owners here who feed their dogs a natural raw food diet.
This is NOT a debate between raw foods versus commercial processed foods, please.
I am hoping to talk with members who have made it known they feed a raw diet, and mainly to discuss the differing opinions of feeding fruit and vegetables - or not.
I know some breeders who profess to feeding a raw food diet, yet feed their dogs cereals every day.
Now to my knowledge and belief and understanding, a dog is not designed to process cereals/grains etc, so that dumbfounds me. Yes, I'm aware in it's natural state wild dogs would eat the ENTIRE carcass of it's victim, inclusing the stomach and intestines which may still hold grains/cereals in a full or half-digested state. But it is only the tiniest of portions compared to the meat matter of the rest of the carcass.
Who feeds vegies and fruit, and why? What benefits is your dog getting from them, to your belief? In a natural world, dogs cannot boil brocolli, or corn, or spinach or peas etc, so...why?
