Righto, here's what I feed dogs, and always will do.
Main breakfast meal is usually always the red meat, be it beef mince, mutton, lamb or pork. If this meat is given in mince form or small pieces, I always follow with a meaty bone. NEVER pet store mince or anything. It is always human grade good quality. You need less of it btw.
Lunch is ALWAYS chicken. Wings, legs, quarters. When young, I will chop it slightly into smaller prtions, but they still need to chew it apart.
When older, just the portions will do. I prefer chicken at lunch for them as it is higher in fat and always give them more energy for the arvo, and that is when i want the most energy in them.
Dinner is once again raw human grade good quality meat.
I offer sardines and fresh fish on a regular basis. I also give eggs regularly, and as they grow older I prefer to let them crack the shell themselves.
That's it. I don't add vitamin c, vitamin e, zinc, kelp, seaweed powder or any of the other million supplements and additives which are out there.
I honestly believe that dogs get all they require to grow well, excell and stay extremely fit and healthy with what they are getting.
