I don't have too much weight to lose (1 or 2kg) but I really need to get fitter. I'm shockingly out of shape and it's taking a toll on my health. Dieting is the easy part...Now getting me to exercise...
Between May 2008 and May 2009, I dropped from 101.2kg to 58kg. How you may ask, I got a Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo Wii-Fit and worked out for at least 1 hour a day. Went on the no white food diet, so nothing with added sugar, no white flour products, no potatoes etc. I have kept the weight off and also use EA Active Personal Trainer with the Nintendo. My weight originally went up due to binge eating when I stressed, have now totally got that under control and exercise is my new way of coping with stress.

Good luck with your routine! I'm bad with having set exercise routines. I mostly run and cycle, but when I try to plan it it never works out so instead of having a schedule I just walk outside an start running.
My goal for 2010 isn't to lose weight as I'm already underweight, but to shape up my butt! I've been dong lunges and squats daily I weigh about 40-45kg and I like my weight, feel no desire to lose or gain any, but I just want to get stronger and get some muscle on that butt

When I'm feeling a bit heavy, I cut back on the shop snacks like the occasional kitchener bun or finger bun (with fruit in it) and I make my portions smaller and I try to up my exercise. I don't generally change what I eat, apart from limiting bakery snacks to one day a week and if I miss that day - no substituting another day.
Weight falls off me in hockey season and if I get lots of scuba diving happening - lots of weight lifting there not to mention how hard it is to move covered in rubber - I call it my rubber gym. Stuff playing with a rubber band - wrap your whole body in it and try to walk and lift stuff and then go for a swim for an hour.
I found one finger bun with fruit and icing with coconut on it a day was enough to put weight on me. And cutting it out was enough to make it go away. Jamie Oliver did a special about eating right and one girl whose diet was analysed was gaining weight by over eating the amount of calories in one of those little snack packs of chips. I think the little tubs of flavoured yoghurt probably didn't help either. At the moment I make my own flavoured yoghurt using sugar and tinned fruit and plain yoghurt and walnuts for topping. I figure if I add 5% sugar instead of their 14% sugar and put real fruit in it I'm way better off. The brand I like said it put 7% fruit minimum in and I made mine up the same and the result is completely different. Their fruit is barely detectable - mine is obvious big chunky pieces, and in the case of black cherry - turns the whole mix purple with three cherries to 100gm of yoghurt - where as theirs has no detectable cherry and the mix is still white. So I think they lie on their packs.
I think it is a mistake to drink diet dairy - because that stuff ends up with extra sugar instead of the fat so the overall calories are almost the same - so I drink full cream milk now. Much more satisfying and hasn't made any difference to my weight.
If I simply wanted to add weight - I'd eat the kitchener bun / finger bun / croissant - one per day - that would do it for me. In fact I think I'm over at the moment by two pieces of toast (with topping) after my weetbix at breakfast. But given I've just walked the dog for an hour or so - hard not to eat that.
Other things I think a big portion of it would help - microwaved potato with grated cheese and sour cream (full cream not low fat), and grated carrots, zuccini (optional) and home made mayo (the stuff with a tin of sweetened condensed milk in it). I used to have a giant potato with this, but now I have a more medium sized potato. And the bigger the potato the more topping you can have. Yoghurt probably makes a good substitute for sour cream but I'm not sure it has the calorie hit you're looking for.
I also like to make pasta carbonara. I use wholemeal spirals because I like them, but it involves more grated cheese, egg, bacon, sour cream or cream. Lots of calories there. In fact adding a bit of cream to any pasta sauce ought to bump the calories a bit.
But you could just try eating more of what you eat now. I know some of the sumo type guys live on things like pizza, pasta with loads of sauce and cheese, and meat. Though meat / protein can act as a bit of an appetite suppressant - ie you feel full quicker.
And full cream icecream with home made caramel sauce and bananas for dessert... every night. Or chocolate mousse. Mmm. The sort of treats I have a once a week policy on, JTDNTB could eat every night.
I am currently around 53kg and am 153 cm in height (I think???). Ideally, I'd like to be around 50kg although I can easily live with 53.
My biggest issue in the last year or 2 has been the gradual decline in my healthy eating habits and my exercise levels. I am back to hockey this year so that will help and I am motivated at the moment to alter my eating back to 100% healthy again.
This might all change when I go back to work though. I have a stressful job in a stress filled department. A few changes occurred just before I went on leave though and more are happening in the first few months of 2010 so I expect that my stress levels will drop and this should help.
