Occy, of course we don't beat them on rocks. We attach them to the dogs and let them run around the yard in the wind. That dries them. Then we place the clothing between the mattress and the bed-base, and that irons them! PMSL.
My Mum looked at a unit with the European wll-enclosure laundry GSD's, and it was a brilliant idea. Worked well too. She didn't get that laundry, but I think she would have been very happy with it had she have got that one. It was an ingenious design.
Roll on attic ladder and storage space.
What do you guys mean by an indoor laundry?
Meaning, actually positioned inside the house. You don't have to walk out the back door or somewhere to access the laundry. That's what I mean anyway.
For instance, my laundry in this place is situated as part of the house, but you can only access it by walking out the back kitchen door, along the deck and into the laundry. Make any sense? Lol.
Out laundry is off the corridor...
In our last house it was next to the kitchen
In the place I live in now it is next to the bathroom
Um...you sure you dont have a stream and rocks to beat your clothes on?
No stream Occy, but if we're desperate the river is across the road and we can just go and whack them around in there.
*pokes tongue at Occy and bolts*
I'd love to have an outside laundry! The last couple of place I lived had outside ones, it was great, in this house the laundry is half way down the corridor, and I have to walk through the living room to get outside - only trouble is that I have one of those pig in mud doors that slot into the sliding door which means there is enough room for me to walk through it, but not enough for the basket so I have to turn it on it's side and do contortions to make sure nothing falls out! Same thing bringing it back in *sob*
