Hmmm, my new puppy will not be allowed to be de-sexed until of a suitable age because of that breed's growth rate.
Yep, to be honest this is going to be a pain in the bum. Our fencing is over 6 foot. Our yard is in my eyes very private, inaccessable and unattainable. For the average dog. I'm not sure I would call an alert dog who can smell a bitch in season a mile away the average dog though. Lol.
So yes, I will be doing everything I can to ensure that if I end up with a female puppy, she will be beside us and locked in with us as much as possible through any season she has prior to being de-sexed.
But what if by some obscure chance that I currently find unfathomable, she becomes pregnant?
Would I refer to myself as a back yard breeder? Certainly not. Perhaps others would though?
