aww Dorte, sorry to hear that Sumo's allergies have flared up again.
Sorry i cant offer advice as i got no bloody clue about Atopica.
big hugs for smexy Sumo
Hmm, that's a hard battle Cleasanta. Feel for you and Sumo.
Have known vets who have used Atopica for dog allergies. Some worked well in keeping the allergy in check, others it didn't work as well for. Naturally it also depends on what the allergy is to, and the degree it appears.
Every drug has it's side effects, and if I remember rightly one of them for Atopica is faster weight gain if not sufficiently exercised (No probs for you, I know!)
There are also a lot of homeopathic remedcies that i have actually seen work with some dogs, but who can tell what will for one and not for another. With an allegy such as this, I would suggest trial and annihalation until you find the most suitable thing to relieve him first and foremost.
Agree Dorte, this just so hard to fix. At best, if you can find the product or solution that works fast for him each time he has a reaction, you're doing wonders.
All the best. Terrible for Sumo, but just as hard for you the owner to watch and try to fix.
