We have a 12 year old Red Cloud Kelpie who has a sinus condition. Took him to the vet and was on anti-biotics which did not do much good. He has swelling on the right side of his head from the fluid. The vet says they could drain it but he would have to have major surgery and due to his age may not come out of it, so we trying to manage the condition through medication. We have been using fexo with two tablets daily.
Apart from the sinus he is healthy, got a clean bill of health heart, teach, weight from the vet and still loves to play ball however because he is basically only breathing through the left side he runs out of puff quickly.
The other day he was standing up sniffing flowers in the gum tree and the sinus material ran down and made him throw up. But that was good as he got a new lease on life again. Sure the poor fella is suffering from the pressure.
Any suggestions on what to give him? how to reduce the swelling or even make him sneeze to empty the sinus out?
