Puggerup, my treats are packed away in the kitchen pantry, awaiting a new addition to try them out. *huffs off in jealousy* LOL.
I have never tended to "treat" my dogs. The exception was pigs ears when Pretty was a chewer. Mine tend to get the odd "bits" of things..eg parson's nose on a chook, bit of this or that if it is suitable for them that I am cooking with. All dogs have always had their outside stashes of buried bones when ever they want them.
I have never used treats for training, maybe my dogs have been amiable enough that they loved just the praise.
Shadow used to love dragging home road kill. Hubby once brought him home a half decomposed calfs head. (Don't ask me why or how, I did not want to know)
Poor dog just sat by it and howled, so I demanded he take it away again, lol.

OOOOO, GSD, roadkill flavour with the smell to match!!!!!!!
Wotcha recon, a winner ?
DA ... your new pup will be "spoilt for choice" in the treat department when they arrive.
Not sure what to say about the whole "road kill" conversation ... so perhaps it's best that I don't comment.
Thanks so much "Pugs" for starting this thread about my treats ...
If Pretty goes back to being ultra fussy after the wubbles, I will be trying the powder.
Roles and Lades love both.
It was so funny, I pulled out more than I needed so I just fed about 7 to Roly, one after the other. After all of them, he literally had drool hanging from his mouth
