Well chloe is like a second child to me but only in the sense that i care for her etc...
She has a bed that is in our room, its on the floor and thats where she sleeps everynight... She's not allowed on the couch or bed no matter how hard she tries..
She gets fed at the same time each night, which is after us, her, the cat and the fish (and snake once a week) all get fed the same time..
She gets pats frequently , she comes pretty much everywhere she's allowed to with me and she gets doggy sat by my mum when she's also babysitting my daughter.. Purely because if Miss T is being cared for by mum it's going to be a late night, and i don't know what i'll come home to if i left chloe alone all that time (so for my own sanity)
She has not and WILL not be dressed in any of those "security/ballerina" dress ups things, though i might put some reindeer ears on her for a quick photo coming up to Christmas for a whole minute and a half.
She doesn't get food from the table ever! and she has rules just like everyone else does in the house.. She is allowed to (and does) roam inside and outside when she wishes as does the cat...
The cat on the other hand is my oh's baby.. She sleeps IN the bed when it's cold, and is allowed all over the furniture. She's also 7 yrs old and I think the bones are starting to wear a bit hence why she is allowed in the bed on occasions... Most of the time she sleeps in the bottom of the wardrobe where there is a blanket for her. She's allowed on the furniture so she can escape the dog/relax in peace.
Both animals are kept in at night.
I more mean I think I treat my dogs like dogs a lot more than others.
Lady isn't allowed inside(she doesn't wanna be either so that works well).
Roly is and he is allowed on the couch, but thats the only funiture. No beds!
Both dogs get one standard sized meal for their breed of kibble, and any human dinner leftovers(if any).
During winter, Roly wears one practical jacket, but this is only a recent thing.
Both dogs get exerscised hard, and a lot of exercise at that.
Even as a nurse, I only take the dogs to the vet if they need it. I've seen too many times dogs getting brought in over nothing.
Lady is transported in the back of the ute(which now has a canopy), Roly rides in the cab.
As I said earlier, some members don't agree with a few of those things.
I love them as much as you all love your own dogs though. Don' forget that. I just show it in a different way.
Education not Legislation
Yep, owners will bring their dogs into the vets when they are worried that pooch has gone off his usual dinner of "Steak Diane.' FFS.
Nah mate, sounds like you treat them like dogs. And that's what they are.
Oh I'll add Lades is tied up in the ute, but only long enough so she can sit and lay down.
Education not Legislation
I love words, can't you tell? lol.
Yes Cleasanta - absolute nut-case. Guess she wanted a good ride.
