What a beauitful post!!!!!!Hi Kassie...welcome to the Forum
I am happy you told us you don't know about Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Staffies are my breed and I love them. It is obvious you love them too since you have 4 of them. They are gorgeous dogs with an almost human like nature. Dogs do not discriminate as we humans can sometimes do...they will love you no matter who you are and what sort of disability you have. I have a big sister with Cerebral Palsy, so I know what it is like living with disabilities. My 18 year old daughter has severe learning difficulties and it has taken her a while to find her place in the world. Don't worry...you will find your place in the world too
Sometimes people might to try too hard when it comes to friendships and trying to "fit in". We might even end up pushing people away instead. Be yourself...be honest Some people might disagree, but what is wrong with letting people know you have a disability? I have taught my kids...you can never go wrong with being honest.
I don't work because I have a physical disability! I injured my spine in 2004 at my work and had spinal surgery in 2006. The Doctors ruined my spinal nerves and I suffer from a very painful and permanent condition called Adhesive Arachnoiditis. It can not be cured and will eventually get worse. I take one day at a time...I am honest about my life...about my condition
You are only 15 sweetie...give it time Give your dogs a special staffy cuddle from me, Sumo and Ruby
