Yay for Cootes!!
Yay for Cootes!!
Just out of curiosity, How many girls do you have living with you and do they all get along ok?
Well we only had 2 girls through rescue in Vic between Novemeber and March, however since March its seems to have been all girls.
Currently running together are Mia, Sacha, Karlie, Dakota & until lunch time Cootes. There has never been a scuffle amongst these girls however, I can't put Dakota and our Bella together for the occassional spat. I also keep Arizona with Yoshi and not another female as this girl was a breeding bitch and I suspect she wouldn't appreciate another girl. After saying all of that, our Bella is the only girl in our pack with 4 x boys. Elroy - SBT, Noah & Diesel & Charlie Brown SWF and that is because I doubt she would share her hierachy with another female, although fosters generally seem to be OK. Again, after saying that, the fosters only ever come into the kitchen/family/games and laundry rooms where as our pack wander the house so all the dogs are pretty clear who actually lives here and who is just visiting.
Ah interesting, thanks. I was just curious as I had heard that females can have problems getting along. I thought you had more than Bella.
Goodness it sounds busy there!
Oh I don't want to deceive you, 2 females (or 2 males for that matter) can and often do not live in harmony.
We have a blanket policy that we won't rehome to same sex households unless there is a 10 yr age difference!!
I just break all the rules which is a clear advantage that comes from fostering!!!
