Just wanted to pop in and tell everyone what a genius Netty is!!!!!
She has managed to find us a place in boot camp for Elwood who is proving to be too dominate for some our most experienced foster carers.
No mean feat at this time of the year.....THANK YOU NETTY!!!!!!!
Thankyou so much Netty, you are a life saver
Foster Carer for Shar Pei Rescue Inc
Just popped in to let everyone know that although I purchased all of my wonderful foster carers 9 x raffle tickets each, and many of you purchased some of your own.......
Kim N. of South Oakleigh won the raffle today at 3pm. Congrats Kim!
Merry Christmas to the wonderful people who love & foster the orphans of SHAR PEI Rescue in Victoria & beyond. May 2010 be you best year yet! xxxx
My pleasure all... Wish I could have been of more assistance...
I hope Elwood is doing well and learning dogs are fun to be with not scary...
Moby doing well... he is getting rolls along his neck.. proving to be a good guard dog... barked at the neighbourhood kids at 1130 last night... LOL... That little dog has a huge bark!!! he is nearly sitting on voice command and mostly sitting on hand cue (he thinks you have a treat)
Merry Christmas to all....
SPR Vic Thanks for the tickets - pity it wasn't a winning one LOL but congrats to Kim...
Dogs Aren't Our Whole Lives, But They Make Our Lives Whole
I hope Gomez is improving. I don't agree with getting dogs desexed immediately they leave the pound. Some of them are just not well enough.
Ah the gorgeous Gomez is doing just beautifully. I must admit that I had my doubts as to whether he would actually make it through that first 48 hours, but he is really coming along in leaps and bounds now. He is such a happy smoochy delightful man, who gives extra special pei kisses xxx. I think I may be in love ......again lol. We are off to the vet for bloods and urine on Thursday, but I can assure you Florence, he is certainly on the up and up.
And Lockie.......well, he too has put on weight, is being treated with weekly injections for an old break in his leg and thinks that having sight is rather wonderful since his entropion last week. lol
Don't be surprised if you read in the near future that he is a FF as his foster family (who have Baby Boo) have fallen madly in love! Another lovely young man.
And today we managed to save a young lady from Mildura pound. A 5 month old fawn horse coat girl (possibly some X in her) who goes to the vet tomorrow and will be collected from the vet by one of our adoptive parents who lives up there. Still trying to sort out her transport to Melbourne, however Rosie is safe and at this stage will spend Xmas with Bobby the 7 mth old pei and Raneigh the BEAUTIFUL staffy. Many, many thanks to Bobby & Raneigh's family!

I hope everyone enjoyed a very merry pei Xmas!!
SHAR PEI Rescue has been busy working through with a new surrenders and pound puppies!
Vic - 5 month old female,
possibly 18 mth old male surrender from Sydney, ??? & very unwell boy from Perth pound. Also due in over the next week or so is another WA boy, surrender, 18 mths old which brings our numbers up to 11 or 12 orphans
QLD - is also overflowing with both male & females of all ages - approx 11 orphans some very unwell and again long term fosters. Some good to go now!
SA - took 2 more boys last week and another this week from Renbury Farm which will bring them up to 4 or 5 orphans - which if #'s are equated to area space = approx the 11 in VIC & QLD
And the good news??????
Applications are beginning to trickle and we expect the "demand" will outweigh the "supply" by mid January!!
Lucky MOBY is looking very promising to be heading off to his forever home mid - late January (prospective parents going away for a few days befor this time)
Just to refresh the details of the other dogs available in Vic.....
Gomez 4 yrs male long term fostercare
Lulu 3 yr female....DELIGHTFUL and ready for her new home
Cooper 10 mths male currently at boot camp and ready for his forever home in 10 days
Elwood 7-8 months male also boot camp, possibly ready to rehome end of January, 2010
Lockie 7 -8 months male, recovering from surgery and possibly available for adoption late Jan, early Feb

Hi there, have popped a post in the general forum and now here. We can transport the wee little Shar Pei from Mildura to Melbourne. We live at Red Cliffs not far from Mildura, and we have 14 rescued pooches (11) and kitties (3). We will be coming down to Melbourne soon and it would be our honour to bring this little girl with us for you. Judy (my email is: firstname.lastname@example.org )
