I keep referring to the pups as the wubbles, lol.
All are doing so well. Two, River and another are a little smaller than the others but you get that, but eating, sleeping well.
I will do another weigh in today.
Hubby will be doing a box for me today, even if it is a temporary one. He is off at a cattle sale.
The 2 with the most markings are my escape artists. I now have the area ringed on 2 sides with suitcases, the wall at the back etc but one end is relatively open so Pretty can see up to the kitchen. I have a "moat" area, flat found covered by the rug then a barrier of rolled towels, covered by the rug. Pretty and I have a routine. With an escapee she has a yip, I go down and rescue and she continues feeding, lol. What is adorable though is that it is in these "moat" areas they spread out, snuggle and sleep.
She is happy now to leave them a short while for a pee and a breath of air outside when they are sated and asleep. She proved this by waking me at 2 30am and then I watched the 3am swill.
I did put her feedbowl against the barrier for about 5 secs but thought a diving wubble, covered in yogurt, sardines etc wouldn't be such a good idea.
I handle them as little as possible but often go down there, lie on my bed to just gaze and give Pretty some adult conversation.

Here is Boris, the sire, has papers but I am yet to sight them.
When he is here he has to be always chained as he will go after my cats, not to mention cattle in a paddock on the other side of the house.
He was very intimidated, as you can see by the camera, anything really that is held in my hand bar food. The men are surprised he reacts to me so well as everyone else is avoided like the plague.
I can however hand feed him, take food from his mouth. He has no human aggression issues despite whatever abuse he suffered in his first home. He will voluntarily only let FIL or hubby do anything they want with him and I am told he is as big a sook as Pretty with them.
Boris is a good looking boy. You're right though, doesn't seem to appreciate being photographed .
Roly and Lady do this too, its like they think your pointing a gun at them or something!
I vote for every pup to be speckly.
That garden shed in the back ground is the one I first thought to use for Pretty. These pics were taken about mid day and the side with the worst afternoon sun only has shade then. With temps around 36 or so now I felt it far too hot for them inside there.
Scary news, Son just rang from his volunteer day at work. They are dealing with some Parvo cases. He was coming here tonight to stay so I could kick him in the guts to get him up for a flight to Sydney tomorrow morning as his pain meds can make him sleep heavily. He is to see his neuro surgeon about worsening back condition. He said that despite the fact he has disinfected with the correct stuff, was thinking of going to his flat first for a full shower and change, would have no contact with them, he does not want to bring any minuscule risk in so will not be coming. I will ring him lots at prearranged time and worse case scenario clue in a friend of mine to go there and knock on his door.
Pretty has not been vaccinated yet, grrrrrr.
Oh theres my baby boy!
Hey there little man.....
*goes back to rehearsing my suck up speech to hubby-we need a puppy honey *
Bit scarey about the parvo though, time for extra vigilance. You are doing such a brilliant job Di
