OK, narrowing down......Clea, would the collar be too heavy for Ruby to wear every day with all the square studs? Which is why I was tending toward the little round studs spotted by the occassional big round one. I wonder if I should leave spacing between the studs?
Deb, I am not even going to ask about big bum and the weight of the collar as I don't believe for one moment he is a delicate little thing at almost 30kg lol
Chris, how heavy-ish would you expect this sort of collar to be?
The half checks are heavy due to the quality of the chain etc... if this one is a buckled then probably only around 200 grams. The decorations won't make any difference weight wise.
Yes I can space them a little further apart but that is only a visual thing.
Look at the other two plum ones one the website for comparison.
Lastly, I don't recommend leaving the collar on with other dogs around, they get chewed sometimes.
Amanda.. Floyd's collar is 40cm from buckle to used hole, & big bum is only 16" at the withers & usually around the 16-16.5 kilos, at the moment he's 16.7 kilos due to lack of walking / excersising out doors as we have had extreme hot weather since xmas & then rain for the last week or so, ask Dorte & she will tell you that big bum is not a big boy. I think that pics can be deceving tho.

gawwwwwww aint it a cute bum
lol, I recognise that big bum......only I know it as brown (liver) - not black lol
No weight difference between the brass and the nickel.
I can't weigh a half check for you yet because I don't know which one I will be using. They are very solid though, and yes maybe 50% heavier but nothing your dog will notice I guarantee it.
I am curious as to what your concern is really?
lol, my concern is simply this - will it be too heavy for the delicate Miss Bella. I can't imagine it will, but then I wouldn't want to hang a "dead" weight around her neck either. I was going to purchase her a Rogz this week as I want her to have the "chain" effect instead of the soft material on the Blackdog. Not that I am trying to compare Rogz to yours by any means, just saying that I had already decided to move her to chain. I measured her neck (as described on your web site) and is came in at 37cms. Over her ears though was 43cms
Am happy to strip off her collar at home as she won't be escaping any time soon and I definately don't want her bro's and new sister chomping through it! Although, aftersaying that, I suspect if any of the other kids tried to chew Bella's jewellery, that could possibly be the last thing they ever did!!
My guys will be completely separate from the rescues once we move, so that won't be an issue either.
