Was just taking a quick look at the map , is Jacobs Well too far for you ? I've only been there once but it was a lovely little place with a park/bbq area right on the water . It might be an option ?

Poor Kuro , I suffered horribly from car sickness as a child so have much sympathy.

*off to clean my trail of destruction - pet hate number 463*; Being in shower when phone rings-finaly hearing the phone and jump out, grab towel, race down stairs, trip over dogs, knock over washing basket and clean folded clothes ,only to just get there and phone stops....grrrrr

    I'm happy to go anywhere

Mitte isn't far from me...just a hop, skip and a jump away!
I don't know where a good place to meet would be though..I just know of the off leash area's. I'm pretty sure there is somewhere at redland bay where dogs are allowed shared time on the beach (so long as it's not when the sea birds feed I believe)...but as far as nice places like Wellington Point & Cleveland beaches go..no dogs are allowed

I will go have have a look in the Redlands council website...see what is avail

Hmmm...this is the one I was thinking of....but all dogs have to stay onleash throughout sept/oct.

This is the info from the site>>>>

The calendar coincides with the departure and arrival patterns of the migratory birds.

Jan Dogs may be off-leash restricted hours
from 5pm until 9am (next day)
Dogs to play between the signs

Mar All dogs must be on-leash at all times

( I had to laugh...dogs must play between signs!!!)

    However..I did see this one>>

G.J. Walter Park, Middle Street - Cleveland (partially unfenced and dogs can go in the water)

Nothing about the calender times with the birds at this park....I might have to go and check it out...see what's there

G.J. Walter Park.. That's where I used to take Trixey to play over 25 years ago, well before we had all these dog laws.. It's a nice spot just behind the Grand View Hotel right on the water.
Not been there in a long time so I dont know what facilities are there now.
You may want to time the meet to coincide with a high tide.
