As I'm sure all of you regulars know, my dogs are outside dogs, so are not house trained. Although it wouldn't surprise me if both of them chose to toilet outside even if they were allowed inside.
Anyway, so I've started taking Koda to work with me sometimes, I just tie him up to a table near me and give him some blankets to lay on and a kong and he's as happy as larry... however... he has a habit of lifting his leg and marking things... If he needs to actually go to the toilet, he'll wait until he's outside, but he seems to think its fine to mark everything
It probably doesn't help that being a vet clinic, we get dogs who doing this all the time, so he's probably smelling other dogs (Its funny, owners always get so upset when their dogs pee in reception, but it seriously happens ALL the time, its just normal to us).
Its not a massive problem, the floors are slate and its easy to clean up with a quick spray of F10 and a rag... but its still annoying and not ideal to have Koda doing this.
If I catch him about to do it, i just have to say a stern "no" or "oy", and he won't do it, but I'm not always looking (still gotta do my job)!
So how do I go about training him to not mark his territory indoors?
