Thought I'd share this funny story from this morning. Some background - yesterday arvo I collected my generator from where it was being serviced and left it in the back of my car as it weighs about 45 kg, too heavy for me to carry alone. My live-out partner came over after work and we went to the movies in his car and left the gennie in mine until this morning.
This morning we lifted it out of the car and carried it into my shed, all up about 1 minute. Then I went and shut the back hatch of the car, saying to my partner "I don't want to arrive at work with a stowaway", referring to Oscar who has a habit of jumping in the back if I leave it open. Obviously he wasn't in the back when I came back from the shed and shut it.
Then I opened the gates to let old mate off to work, closed them and went inside thinking it was odd that Oscar hadn't been there to see him off the premises as he always does. You probably know where this is going....... After a bit I got worried because Oscar never loses of sight of me for long, so I checked around the garden, in the shed in case he'd been locked in there, inside again, no sign. So of course I then opened the back side door of the car and there was Oscar, not SITTING on the back seat, but actually crouched down hiding! As soon as I opened the door he scooted over to the other side and got down on the floor. Definitely a pre-meditated stowaway.
Had to give him 10 out of 10 for trying poor bugger. He must have jumped into the back compartment and quickly over on to the back seat before I returned to shut the back door. He has never jumped over on to the back seat before, usually if I leave the back door open he just jumps up and lays down there. There was a bit more thought going on with this one!
