We've been busy as a family, with my son's son being born yesterday. Ended up with a C section and his 2 pups that were ABANDONED for 12 hrs in house alone, have eaten:
1 sofa: all 3 cushions disemboweled
1 lazy boy recliner: gutted and scattered
1 rug, torn to shreds
6 pillows - savaged to death
Guess which grandmother didnt secure them properly? me. OOPS
I got back to their house to feed the pups at 9pm last night, to pup chaos! 2 very excited dogs, who pee'd all over my feet in excitement in the house. The entire house was covered in entrails of chairs and pillows.
Poor pups, just 12 hrs alone, and most of valuable furniture has been eaten.
Thank god it was a C section and she's not allowed home till monday. I have a weekend to sort the mess out.
Ive not had a destructive pup, as i tend to tire mine out.
so, the two of them, terriers, at 1yr and the other 18 months, have just been on the longest walk. My son annoyed i woke him whilst stealing his dogs at 4.45am this morning. Ive walked them, run them, swam them. My 3 have rough n tumbled them, chased them, been chased etc etc And they can stay in doggy day care with Aunty Pohm, the baby sitter of all dogs, till my daughter in law comes home with the baby.
Dogs can be little shits at times. Separation anxiety? Its rare this amount of destruction.
they will if left to their own devices, chew shoes etc. But never this much destruction.
Any suggestions? i thought exercising the heck out of them was a good start, as this has been a long labour, in and out of hospital for them, the walking probably went awry.
these 2 usually are left alone at home for 5hrs daily, no problems. 12 hours, and no furniture left?
