I have a female 14 month old staffy x who we have had since she was a puppy. We had ongoing issues with her wee'ing in her sleep and inside which the vet put down to a hormone imbalance possibly related to her being desexed so young. We have her on tablets for this now, and she hasnt had any accidents inside for months. However, it is getting colder, and we can no longer keep the door open of a night so that she can get out (we have a dog door in the screen door, so have to keep the back door open for access). Last night we decided to close the door and see how she would go.
My older dog woke me up around 5am to go outside, as soon as I walked out of the bedroom I could smell that she had an accident... turned on the lights only to find FIVE of them!! I dont think she knows how to let us know that she needs to go out..
Just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and any tips on how to work on this or get around the problem??
Any help would be appreciated!
