or is this an impossible dream..?
Our lovely little dog is a crazy licker and I'm wondering how best to train him out of this. He licks feet, hands, arms anything he can, just the saying hello kind of licking, not as in a compulsive disorder or anything! He's a very affectionate little dog and we love him to bits. He's pretty smart, he knows a few things like fetch, sit, find Mum, get toys, etc on those commands. With the licking, we are saying 'no licking' firmly when he does it and well, he looks at us like we're mad and just leans down and licks our foot, or leg, or just now, part of the chair nearest me.
Any tips on this, or do we just accept this as a lost cause? We are pretty lucky that this is pretty much the worst habit he has - the other one, crapping on the concrete when the grass is damp is probably a lost cause
Any advice most welcome!
