My boy Zeus will have what i call "spak attacks".
He runs around flat out in the house, launches himself up onto the couch and back off again with enough force to nearly flip it over. He'll stop for a second and growl at either us or my other old dog and then he's off again.
Doesn't last for long but it's best not to get in the way of a 70kg dog at full belt lol.
His are caused by pent up energy. I find if he's exercised enough then he doesn't do so if he does do it then it's my fault for not walking him enough.
Don't know if your dog may be just full of beans and needing a release like mine does but thought i'd throw it out there in case it helps.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
