My 13 week old Schnauzer puppy took a dump on his puppy pads tonight and I looked at his poo before I tossed it in the toilet and it had several white "worm-like" creatures.
When I looked closely they were slowly moving.
I have never seen parasitic worms before so was just wondering if anyone could ID what they are, and which worm they are?
As soon as I saw them I freaked and immediately gave him an exelpet dog all intestinal/heartworm worming chew which he slowly ate.
The vet said that she doesn't like supermarket all wormers as she says although they won't make your dog sick, the chemicals in them can be old and they worms may be resistant to them so they may not work as well.
I'm not so sure of that, as vets are often told this kind of stuff by suppliers who sell them high priced worming products to onsell to you.
In other words "supermarket stuff won't work.. but we just happen to have something that will for 10 times the price etc"...
We gave our corgis exelpet supermarket wormers all their lives and they were fine.
