My pup is now 8 months and 2 days old.
Just under a month ago, she started getting milky white-yellowish discharge from her vulva after every time she went to the toilet.
The first day I noticed it, being an over-worried fur parent, I booked her into a vet as an emergency because it was booked out and it was a Sunday.
Luckily, the person who was booked in at the time we got there didn't show up to their appointment so no rushing was needed - the vet took a good look at her, told me it's most likely just Vaginitis(I thought it may be UTI but she shows no other signs of that so the vet said it wouldn't be that) so they gave me tablets to give her twice daily for a week, along with surgery scrub to wash her private spot twice a day.
The scrub really has made the area look a lot cleaner, but it's been over 2 weeks now since she finished the tablets and the discharge hasn't stopped.
It doesn't seem to be bothering her, she doesn't over lick it or anything..
After a bit of research I seen that PV is very common in pups 3-8 months of age.
My pup got it around 7 months old and it's been nearly a month and hasn't changed even after medication.
I'm assuming it'll go away after her first heat which I expect to start any day now.
Has anyone got any experience with Puppy Vaginitis and know how long it lasted, how to help with it etc?
