Our dogs, past and present, are a massive part of our lives
I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we can tell tales (or tails ) of the friends we've had through our lives
I'm fairly new here so I apologise if this thread has already been done
Skippa - Fox Terrier X Cattle Dog
My one and only childhood pet. We got her when I was 6 and she lived for 13 years. Even in her old age she was just as excitable and quick as she was in her prime. She could play football like no dog I've ever seen before for hours and hours. People would always comment and say she had a tiny little head or a big fat body, which I never noticed until I looked back at old photos and I must now admit she was a little different yes, but hey that was Skippa! Her favourite thing was to follow us around the estate on our bikes. She somehow always knew to stop and wait when crossing roads which I thought was incredible at the time but later realised it was 100% my mothers doing. She was very much an outside dog but every afternoon when dad got home from work she would be there just inside the back door, rolled over showing her belly, as if to say SORRY I KNOW I SHOULDNT BE HERE BUT I'M CUTE RIGHT - and of course she would get a belly rub. I miss this little ratbag all the time but am very thankful for her being around my entire childhood.
