Brian has skin condition, yeast infection. Probably due to allergies?
When we got brian, he was on pedigree chum kibble.
We swapped him to raw, a few maleseb soaks, and 4wks later, the fur had grown back. This last week, its back. That smell was noticed yesterday, so we are back to bathing him with malaseb. I am not going to be taking Brian to the vet. so lets not bother with that suggestion. As i have no money to do so right now. And this can be home treated, i have 'access' one way or another, to most lotions/potions vet would prescribe anyhow. I am not a frequent flyer at vets sorta owner.
I need to change my dogs diets. Raw, for 3 large dogs, is more than i can afford. And i am making cuts right now to pay for Pohm's operation, so every penny helps!
Does anyone have a kibble recommendation for dogs with sensitive skin (brian) and what price is this? I prefer dry as we are coming into summer. I will still add, veggies for pohm as she's a hungry dog and needs filling without calories like her mum lol
I also will be swapping Bernie and Pohm over too. But neither has special dietry requirements, both adult.
The only time i use kibble is when we go camping, and all 3 have had black hawk then. < way too expensive for a viable option now.
so, for any owners out there of yeasty dogs, what are you feeding?
and any suggestions re Brian's skin would be well read too.
And is swimming bad or good for yeasty dogs? does it wash off the maleseb? or the betadine rinse he has after a maleseb bath?
