It all started with a innocent vet visit to weigh in and pick up worm tablets. I noticed a few drops of redish urine on the floor and a simple visit turned into a big thing. This was a week ago now. The first thought was some sort of urinary infection but a week of antibiotics hasnt totally cleared it.
So today the poor bugger got a finger in the bum and a his urine tested.
He's booked in for a Ultra sound, xrays, blood tests, catheter , prostate massage...etc etc on Thursday so he wont have any drugs in his system by that stage.
Could be a number of things at this stage...infection is the most likely but it could be bladder stones aswell. The other possibilities i dont even want to think about right now.
He's young so fingers crossed its just a infection but they want to check everything while he's under.
Thing is he's totaly fine and hasnt shown any symptoms...it was just lucky i noticed the tiny drops of reddish urine on the floor.
Poor boy lost his dignity today with his bits and pieces proded and handled.... i promised him i wouldnt breath a word to Bronx as he was a bit embarrsed. Lucky the girls there love him to bits and they where all hands on deck working on him to keep him calm and happy.
When we arrived there this morning the first thing he did was jump up and put his paws on the front desk and just stood there for five minutes while they all patted and oogled over the cheeky sod. He was standing there eye to eye with some of them like he was chatting them up at a bar. He wasnt such a happy pooch when we left
My poor boys in the wars.
