I feel for you Sean.
I went through the same thing about a year and a half ago. My then 12 year old dog went missing for a day and a half. Thunderstorms freaked her out while i was at work during the day and she got out and i came home to an empty house.
Like Mojo she has no road sense, and with log trucks ripping up my road at 100k's an hour i was a mess thinking about her.
You just can't stop your mind thinking of every bad possibility.
I didn't sleep at all that night and sure as hell wasn't going to work the next day.
Luckily for me,and her, she wandered into some peoples home to check out there goats.
This was about 7k's away from my place.
I must admit she was the quickest she'd ever been getting into my car when i got there.
i reckon i spent the next week hugging her,i was so glad to have her back. Worst experience of my life.
Soo glad Mojo is safe and sound back home. A stiff drink would definitely be in order,or two,or three.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
