This is just so heartwarming, i had to share it with you guys!
Wow....i nearly stoped after the first 30 seconds because it pains me to see any animal with that much fear in its eyes. But i kept going......then i felt pure anger ...anger that is still here now. I want to make the person who put that fear into her feel that same fear from me.
So stoked Nala is in her forever home now.
Thanks for sharing the video 'maddogdodge'. Really sad what some people are capable of - how insensitive they can be to another living thing !
But - then you see the people in this video and see what they do and they do this sort of thing on a regular basis.
Here is another one for you that came up on my FB page:
Rescuing a family of dogs with help from iPhone and You Tube. Please share. - YouTube
Oh that is so sad, beautiful and glorious all at the same time. What incredible animals they are, so much damage and yet so much trust. Humans have a lot to learn!
Just beautiful... so glad that she's found a great home! Molly was exactly like this in the kennels at the shelter, we walked past her cage 3 times and couldn't see her because she was curled up so small in the back of her kennel and black blends in. It took forever to coax her out of the kennel and then she just stood there, cowered over, tail as far between her legs as possible, looking away and shaking like there was no tomorrow.
It took 2 weeks before we could walk up to her in the backyard without her running away and another few weeks until we could get her on her back for a belly rub (and realise that her desexing stitches were still in!). It really helped that we had Meika.. she had a 'friend' to follow around and learn off
Such a heart warming, rewarding feeling seeing them come out of their shell like that
OMG, thankyou for that emotional roller coster ride there folks. Im seriously in no condition to watch these sorts of videos, but am compelled to do so.
Tears streaming down my menopausal chops. Shit. Again.
I found it interesting, how some focus on one perspective primarily, the negative nasty side, or the gorgeous side?
I thought exactly the same thing re the negative/positive focus after I had posted my comment! Maybe it's a boy/girl thing (but I don't want to start the dog lover's Gender Wars here, the pollies are bad enough!) but maybe us females are hardwired to go all mushy at the poor wee damaged thing that needs taking care of while the blokes just want to bash the shit out of whoever caused the damage??? Not looking at you, Sean, here. Funny as I am so not a girly girl, have lived a very "blokey" existence in the fishing industry, and have next to no maternal feelings except when it comes to animals. Again, animals teach us much about ourselves.
Thats OK Troppo.
I'm just at witts end with people who hurt animals. I now feel the need to have a bit of vengance...i think its the only way some people will learn.
Voicing it on the internet dosnt achieve much i guess....but it just make me so bloody angry that someone could do this to any animal let alone the species i love the most.
I'd never be any good as a RSPCA inspector !!
