yeah I don't get it either, you'd think you'd just teach them everything. It's one of the reasons we decided not to go for that particular dog
What happened to his gorgeous coat?
Ive never seen a shaved one before. Looks nowt like a puli without it. But he is lovely and landed on his feet with you!
welcome, even without the dreads
This is just my opinion, but i hate the normal puli coat! always have, always will! I have long hair that gets knotted easily... and when its knotted it feels horrible and heavy. I hate to think how uncomfortable Puli's must get sometimes! And i think they look much nicer when they're shaved! you can actually see their beautiful face!
No one loves you like your dog does.
Most show dogs are not taught how to sit, because the owners do not want them to sit in the show ring, and they think the dog cannot tell the difference between other places, and the show ring. Of course there are champion obedience dogs who also show, so not a real problem for the dog, only the owner.
So getting a dog that has only done showing, who doesn't know sit (and was probably punished every time he tried it) isn't very surprising to me. He was almost certainly taught to never sit. He probably has a gorgeous stack tho (angled stand). And you can probably look in his mouth and ears without a struggle.
