Regrading the above quote that Hyacinth commented on (can't quote on my phone for some reason) regarding rescues and breeders, I disagree with the quote.
Dogman, as with any industry, you eat the good and the bad. There are some rescues that are great and others not so great. I work with a rescue group that offer a 4 week trial period, during which time they will send out a trainer (most of the time its me) to work with the new owner (should they request it) on any problems they have, at no expense, and they/we offer continued support regarding behaviour and health concerns they may have. Our group is always happy to help the owners at any time in the dogs life and will take it back if they are unable to care for it in the future.
You just need to do your research to find the good ones. Reputable Breeders are generally the same with regard to helping and/or taking the dog back in the future because they want to ensure their dogs are safe forever.
I'm glad you're doing well with your pup.
