I've noticed my widdle puppy isnt a puppy anymore....
Mojo seems to have had a growth spurt....more out than up....his neck and head are getting really big now and he's outgrown the xlarge collar and we are up to a 3X large one. His face rolls and neck flab are getting really droopy while his chest is very broad now and the back legs are super muscley when he stretch's. Anything he's uncertain of is met head on with a full on stiff body, chest pumped out, ears up (as best as floppy ears can lol..) and a big super deep wooowooowoooo that tapers off into a deep growl. It's a bit bloody intimidating to be honest.
Bronx is starting to fill out a bit now.....not so skin and bones like when he first arrived. He's learnt to blow slobber bubbles while he waits for his dinner which is hilarious!! He's great with the kids too. Chopping the old nangers off hasnt fazed him one bit though. He's still a bloody nut case and today nearly dug his own grave when he ran into the wife and put her on her backside again !! I'm thinking there maybe a touch of dog aggression in him though so i'll only trust him around Mojo which is a bit of a bummer, but ya get that.
He still hunts Mojo and launches his trademark neck flab attack on Mojo's floppy bits....LOL....and mostly wins the play fights but i'm sure it's because Mojo finds the whole thing so amusing and enjoyable. If Mojo has enough he lets Bronx know about it.
Its seems like Mojo has learnt alot from the play fighting. He really enjoys it now, even starting it if Bronx isnt all that keen...he never did that when Bronx first came home. Bronx was always the instigater and usually dominated but now it seems Mojo has realised his strength and is alot more confident. If Bronx takes his little victory to far or dosnt let go of a rolly bit quick enough he soons ends up on his back and has the full weight of a Bullmastiff pinning him to the ground. Mojo tends to use muscle and body....while Bronx relies on his sharp teeth and speed.
It's been a interesting time watching them both go through some really noticeable changes recently. It also makes me realise that especially at Mojos size i'd have my hands full if he wanted to do damage to another dog or even a person so i need to take more note of our surroundings and look for any signs they arnt happy with somthing when we are out walking. I've also noticed nearly everyone wont come near us now which kinda sux because Mojo can be a great dog to play with but i understand why.
I'm trying not to sound like one of those tossers with big tough dogs...thats the last thing i want people to think after all they are both just big slobbering , farting , snoring goofs. I guess it's like a father feels when his son grows taller and stronger than him.....you know your still the boss but there's a little bit of doubt that creeps into your mind. I'll try and take some new pictures soon ...
