I recently complained to my local council about a dog up the road from me. This dog was constantly getting out of its yard and was jumping the fence into my place. It was crapping in our yard ( generally right in the middle of the driveway), and i was worried as my little man was only five months old and was still entire and this dog was an entire male. I didn't know if they might fight or it might fight with my old girl or if it had fleas or god knows what. The biggest problem was the fact that i leave the back door to our house open so our dogs can come in and out as they please and their water and biscuit bowls are in the laundry on the floor.
This dog was having a habit of coming into our house and eating all the dog biscuits and then urinating on our furniture.
I did go and see the owners first and explain to them what was happening and they said they normally tie the dog up but it had broken its collar and they couldn't get another one and they didn't think it was there dog anyway.
This went on for about 2 weeks and nothing changed so i called the council, 3 times, as it took them so long to do anything. We told them we wanted to know when they had been there but they never got back to us. Eventually we stopped seeing the dog at their place at all and they moved out about a month ago.
The sad thing was that there dog was a lovely dog and was obviously bored and hungry. I had never once seen them walk it.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
