Glad it was a good outcome (or an outcome better than parvo at least!). Hope your friends pup makes a full recovery! How awful
When we bought Molly home from the shelter, she had kennel cough but wasn't showing any signs, she had been vaccinated but either caught it before the vaccinations kicked in or they didn't work. My friend came over on the 2nd day we had her, when she still seemed healthy, and gave her lots of cuddles. It wasn't until the next day that she started showing signs and a few days later my friend's dog came down with KC too- I felt so awful and offered to pay some of her vet fees but thankfully she was understanding and we were both just grateful that it wasn't something worse like parvo!
