Pups really do get over the chewing stage quite quickly if you are prepared to train your pup and give the pup something else appropriate to chew on. I am now onto my fifth GSP - but washing on the line has never been a problem, killing pillows or walls or whatever - no - not a problem !
Pulling the squeaky or stuffing out of toys - yes - but that is their toy - so what !
I am not one to have pups sleeping outside - but each to their own !
I have always sectioned off a part of the house with 'child gates' or as I call them - 'puppy gates' - so the pup is contained in a safe area if I can't supervise.
If you really want to have a really good pup - who sleeps and spends a lot of time outside - then - you - as the owner - need to be out there with your pup and spending heaps of time with the pup !
Don't expect the pup to self train - because that will only end up in tears !
