Hi everyone, new here, just wanted some others opinion. My dog passed away recently while awaiting for surgery in our local veterinarian. She always became stressed when visiting the vet and would tremble constantly. She was only in to have minor surgery and there has never been any indication of heart problems. She was only playing with me before I took her there and chasing her sister around. She died within ten minutes of me leaving her there. Can a dog die from anxiety like this and suffer a heart attack as the vet suggests? Our concern is that the vet did something wrong to cause her death, of course we are hoping this would not be the case. She was an older dog, just over twelve years, but for her age was very energetic. I did not elect to have a post-mortem at the time, I was too distressed to think clearly when notified, and elected to have her cremated.
