We as a family buried all our past pets at my parents place. 3 dogs, 2 cats and two horses.
The only bad thing about this is that my parents sold the house and now i can't go and see any of my deceased mates.
They always marked the spot where they buried them with either a tree or statue and it saddens me to think that the new owners wouldn't know that. It also worries me that they may be accidently dug up.
Also having moved from Queensland to Tasmania i can't pop out and see them anyway. I think when the time comes for my old girl i will definetaly be cremating her and keeping the ashes for the quiet times i just want to sit with her and feel like she's near me.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret
