    Default Food Not For Dogs

Would like to hear what others know about foods that dogs can not have..
I always thought onion was a food that was dangerous for dogs but maybe
I was wrong.. I had to buy 1 kilo of cooked meat rice and vegies from the
local dog food shop here for BillyRay and when I was dishing it out I noticed
    it was full of onions..

I thought the following were a no no

    Onion
    sultanas
    Grapes
    Bread
    Milk
    cheese
    chocolate

please add to the list guys..

Avocado.. Don't know wether it's because of the seed or toxic

    eggplant/aubergine

Xylitol and I think artificial sweeteners, not good for anyone really
    yeast dough
    citrus oils
any drugs - legal or not

Some people use cheese for training so i think it is not toxic exactly just not great. Maybe too salty

I'd be going back to wherever you bought that mince and tell them what a bunch of F'n D'heads they are for putting in onion !!!

I have it firmly imprinted in my brain the image of a chiuaua who was shaking and couldnt hold it's head up......major cunvoltions, all from one piece of pizza that was full of onions........Dr Harry was ropeable with the girl for feeding it pizza and then went on to explain how onions was a big no no for dogs. Maybe your dogs been big guys can handle it a bit but i would definently stop feeding them that mince straight away.

And the old classic Oreo add........"Mum said choclates no good for dogs.....but you can have some of my milk".

Yeah everything I read, when I was investigating for Maggies arrival, always said onions were not good. Why would anyone deliberately put it in dog food?

Cheese? Nero loves Cheese. In fact he loves all milkproducts. Especially Yoghurt. I probably wouldn't give him huge quantities but he doe get a few spoonfull almost every day.

    I heard:
    Garlick
    Sugar (Bad news for Nero!)
    Any kind of booze
    Coffee

I thought yeast dough is only dangerous before it's been baked?

Ive given my dogs all of the above :{ (except alcohol, coffee & drugs). Never knew about the grapes which i use to give to mine on a daily basis until somebody on here told me it was bad for them... Whoops. We also have a macadamian nut tree out the back that the dogs love to raid also.. I thought nuts were good for them?!
