speaking of strategically placed wispy things. I learnt a new word yesterday at work:
Do a google on pictures. I seriously have been doing things very wrong for too many decades!
And nobody in the media has been smart enough to point out the 'controversy' is merely an advertising technique, but instead spend time discussing it on their program only giving the ad more exposure.
Sorry for the rant!
Okay, I will be travelling for a month in Europe this December; should I get the dog now and give it to someone I know who owns dogs for the month or wait until early next year to get it?
The benefit of getting it now would be I get to buy my dog from the breeder I have already chosen and trust (who won't be breeding again any time soon, so I probably won't be able to get it from her later without a very long wait), but I do have to give the dog away for a month. Waiting would mean I'd have to find another breeder, which might not always work out and - of course - I'd have to wait another half year at least.
Also, if anyone would like to know, we have decided for him to be an inside/outside dog. He will be outside or in a space we are going to make for him in the garage when we are not home and spend time inside the house each day when we are home.

Tough one. It really is hard to leave your dog for that long - I've had to do it a few times. When would you be getting the dog if you do go with this breeder?
And good news that he will be allowed inside. I really feel quite sorry for dogs who don't get to spend time inside with their owners. Having a dog inside brings its own trials, but it also offers an extra incentive to train them and also creates a lot more training opportunities.
