where i work in the adult psych community clinic, there is a youth clinic next door.
yesterday, i noticed a young staffie tied up outside the clinic at 9am, 11.30 still there, 2pm still there, 4.30 and im now fantasizing its been abandoned, running over the story to feed the old man as to why this time ive brought another dog into the home to rehome.
But sense prevailed, so i rang the unit manager of the youth clinic, expressed my concerns. Was told in no uncertain terms, she'd rather have some mutt tied up outside all day long, if it means the youth will attend the clinic as he has significant behavioural and emotional problems. I felt so relieved *sarcasm* Put some water down for the dog. And when i left work at 5.30 the dog was gone.
Do other people see this as not good. Dog is under a year old. Its raining and cold and no shelter, nor food.
