I missed this. Good news about her not being contagious!
I believe there are different strands of ringworm too and some are worse than others. We had foster kittens with ringworm and they passed it onto Banjo who got it really badly. Her face looked terrible. The oral meds worked well though. I also got it, and my daughter. And the neighbour's kid. And a friend and her foster dog. But it seemed to kind of become less virulent as it was passed on? I think we are now all immune and interestingly enough the foster kittens we introduced into our house afterwards never got it. Even though the vet claimed the spores will stay in your carpets virtually forever.
I did actually lose a friend over it though! He refused to come near us with his dog because he was so worried about passing it on to kids and dogs at the oval. I haven't heard from him since! Even though it was bloody annoying to deal with those first few weeks, I think both this friend and our near hysterical vet overreacted.
