Thumbs up Giveaway 2yr Old Female Desexed BorderCollieXCattle

Lucy needs a new home urgently as I have to move to a place where ticks are a common pest.

Lucy is obedient and can sit, stay, lie down and shake on command. She loves playing fetch and will do anything for food.

I don't understand. You need to get rid of a beloved family member because there are ticks where she's going to live? Many many dogs live where ticks are common, no reason at all to get rid of them...

A 12 dollar tick collar every two months and a daily check over solves that problem....

Isn't there a treatment for tick prevention?
Surely you could come up with a better excuse..
"I just don't want the responsibility of a high energy dog" would be more convincing and understandable than THAT excuse

Was going to ask if a 10 minute check every day was too hard, but I thought it might have been rude.

I lived in Darwin where bush ticks would climb the house stumps to get to the dog (Attila). It was horrid sure, but they were usually only a problem in the wet season...Thats like saying I want to give my kids away because they get nits. It's gonna happen regardless of where you live. You just have to check your pooch over regularly and prevent it asbest you can.

Best wishes, if you are advertising free to good home on forums and chat sites I would suggest other than moving to a tick prone area as a reason just for getting shot down in flames sake, literally half of Aus is tick prone it's just the country we live in.

I wish you and Lucy best of luck in finding a great home and new owner, she sounds wonderfull.

can I ask why there is a give away section in the forum if every time there is a give away they get shot down in flames?

I'm not arguing for or against, just wondering.

But, just want to say there's probably more to it than what is said, you know, like when you go to the shops and the cashier asks how your day has been, and you say "good", even though you've just finished a 12 hour shift.

I normally don't say anything, as sometimes people have no other choice. But that would have to be the lamest excuse for giving away a pet I have ever heard and was I honestly gob-smacked by it to put it nicely.
