IMO if someone wants to give away or sell a pet then the pet would be far better off having another home.

Doesn't matter what the excuse or reason is..good or bad it is far better advertising on dog forums, pet rescue etc than dumping or leaving them at a pound as so many do.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

    Spot on !

If they are offended and dont bother reading the rest of the replies they could miss a offer to help. The dog will be the one to suffer the most if that was to happen. That would be terrible if dog lovers ended up been responsible for a opportunity missed.
I think we are all on the same page with our thoughts on the situation but for the good of the dog we should probably show a little restraint and offer only helpful advice rather than having a crack at someone who dosnt really want thier dog anymore. As Di dee pointed out they can do a whole heap worse than ask us to help find a new and better owner.

Wow, didn't realise everybody was so judgmental around here.

There are currently already a dog that is living into the house that I am moving into. The owner of this dog burns, mows and then kills the backyard every fortnight and the dog has had both tick collars and Advantix put on her, and unfortunately has still gotten ticks. He has spent almost $3000 in the last six months in and out of the veterinary surgeon and unfortunately I just cannot afford this kind of money. He checks her daily and keeps her inside whenever he is home but vets have said sometimes they are just unpreventable by the sorts of birds, possums and other feral animals running around at night and infecting the backyard in an instance.

The owner has been very kind in warning me about this problem before I move in, so yes I am looking for a good home for Lucy before its too late.

    Thanks.
